From what I gather, and limited experience, most GW2 raids are much easier than mythics in WoW and savage/ultimate in FFXIV. Most people use guilds as a source of in-game chat and a potential pool of people to do content, so general PvE guilds tend to operate like that. If you want a guild focused on some specific content, looking for a guild focused on that is probably best. Ex, a fractals guild, a raids guild. Remember you can be in more than one guild.

Don't lock part of the story behind it. :s :s Rewards yes by all means, but the story is the core content.
